Raw Cacao Butter: There is never enough room to explain some of the exotic, hard to source ingredients, and what makes them really potent. Cacao is not the same as Cocoa, and it’s a deep subject to learn on its own. We had to go through so many sources to find a source of Raw Cacao Butter which is processed at lower temperatures, extracted without chemicals or additives, not deodorized, so it retains all its natural healing and preventative properties. It was truly a challenging and exhausting process. You will feel the rawness of Cacao when you use our Healing Calendula Salve. It melts away on the skin, deeply nourishing and exotic. The quality and sourcing of each ingredient used in our formulation is what makes us so confident about our creation. Raw Cacao is exceptionally high in antioxidants and therefore it helps skin preserve its collagen while renewing new skin cells. It contains raw enzymes and omegas which helps in cellular repair. Another important quality of Cacao is that it increases blood flow to the skin and brings blood to the surface when applied topically. It also reduces inflammation and locks moisture into the skin.
Jojoba Oil: This golden beautiful Raw oil has been all over our blogs for many many years. We couldn’t be happier to finally have our own powerful source of Jojoba oil. HOW TO USE
Apply a pea-sized amount on clean damp skin and gently massage. For best results, use our Hydrating Serum Mist before applying Calendula Healing Salve. Then finish with our Sun Salve if using it for daytime.
Use within 8 months after opening and within 18 months of the manufacture date found on the bottom of the jar.
Store the product in a dark, dry and cool place away from direct sunlight and heat. If the Salve softens/melts in transit due to hot weather, or the texture changes slightly, this does not affect the performance of the product, only the texture. If you wish to restore the Salve’s texture post melting, simply refrigerate it for a short period of time.
Since we use ingredients in their purest most natural form, and we make small batches, the color/texture/fragrance may vary slightly from batch to batch.
If you are undergoing any cosmetic treatments, or suffer from severe skin concerns, then consult your doctor. We always suggest doing a patch test before using any new product.
