There is so much I want to share and explain about our ingredients and why we chose them particularly for our Skin Elixir… With this post I have tried explaining a little bit about our plants, and I hope you will be kind enough to read it thoroughly and understand why it took us so long to bring to you, and what our vision is as a company.
Plant Remedy is made with 4 carefully chosen ingredients, Argan, Blue Tansy, Geranium, Rosemary, and each one of them is sourced directly from the organic Ecocert Moroccan farms, and all are part of our Plant Remedy Skin Elixir for a reason. They have their own unique skin healing properties that compliment each other perfectly. Our ingredients go through the best extraction methods in Morocco, making sure they’re never refined and 100% pure and raw for our batches of YBP Plant Remedy.
Argan Oil: Botanical name Argania Spinosa, freshly cold pressed and produced exclusively for our line. This Moroccan liquid gold, with its vast essential fatty acid profile, is a powerhouse of deep moisture and aids in reducing the appearance of fine lines and scarring. Our Argan Oil is nothing like other commercially-available varieties that you will find in the market. Our Argan Oil is 100% Natural, Pure and Unrefined, never deodorized which preserves its earthy aroma, and produced in very small batches straight from organic farms in Morocco.
Blue Tansy Oil: Botanical name Tanacetum Annuum, a RARE green hairy plant with tiny yellow flowers, freshly cultivated, harvested and distilled in a small region of Morocco. Blue Tansy is extremely rich in Chamazulene, a chemical compound which turns a rich blue color only after steam distillation. Its extraordinary cooling properties provide relief to red or irritated skin of any kind. It’s a potent anti-inflammatory that provides soothing gentle cell regeneration. This plant often gets confused with German Chamomile, but it’s actually much gentler and soothing to the skin, and poses less opportunity for reactivity. Blue Tansy is very rare and difficult to source, making it one of the most expensive oils in the world!
Geranium Oil: Botanical name Pelargonium X Asperum, we source this beautiful essential oil from one of the family owned artisan distilleries in North African region. Our Geranium oil is obtained by steam distilling the geranium plant leaves in small batches. It has a fresh, sweet, green, herbaceous scent that lingers and helps relax the nervous system. Geranium is a marvelous skin-balancing oil that can improve overall skin complexion. It’s uplifting and gentle when mixed with carrier oils like Argan, and nourishes the skin inside and out.
Rosemary CO2 Extract: Rosemary is available worldwide and it’s an exceptional medicinal plant with infinite health and skin benefits. Like the rest of our other oils, our organic antioxidant Rosemary is also sourced from the mediternean lands. To create this wonderful antioxidant, whole fresh Rosemary leaves are put through a Supercritical CO2 Extraction process. This method helps to maintain the integrity of the base constituents and produces a highly concentrated extract. The main constituents are Carnosic Acid and Rosmarinic Acid, which both have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which helps protect the body and skin from free radical damage.
How to Use: Take a few drops of oil between your hands to warm it before applying on your face, this will activate your oil. Then take a deep breath and start massaging your face gently in upward strokes.
Use within 6 months of opening and within 18 months of the manufacture date.
